Obituary of Evelyn Bernice Thomson
At the Village of Riverside Glen on Tuesday April 8, 2014. Evelyn (Carter) Thomson in her 93rd year. Wife of the late William J. Carter (1963), Andrew Thomson, and Lionel Cuthbertson (2000). Dear mother of Judith van Horsigh (Rudy), Sandra Schleich (Darby) all of Guelph, Richard Carter (Nancy) and David Carter all of North Bay. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Roderek (Deb), Jeffrey (Kim), Chad (Carly), Katie (Scott); her great grandchildren Shane, Rachel, Tyler, Steve; Carter, Chloe, Crimson and Ava. Predeceased by her parents Samuel Carter (1962) and Violet (1986); brother Sam Carter, sister Helen Chisholm, grandson Bill Carter and daughter-in-law Kim Carter (2013). Evelyn will be fondly remembered by Mike and Susan Cuthbertson, Lee and Susan Cuthbertson and their families, her sister-in-law Shirley Carter and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was in the Canadian Women’s Army Corp, Service #W80117, Private CWAC Canada. She was a member of the Beatrice Rebekah Lodge #12, service to be held at the funeral home Thursday at 6:45 p.m.
Friends may call at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph (from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Thursday). Service in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday April 11 at 10:30 a.m. Private Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the CNIB would be appreciated.
