Obituary of Delores Anita Smeaton

Smeaton, Delores Anita Peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener on Friday July 26th, 2019. Delores (Renout) Smeaton in her 84th year. Beloved and devoted wife of 57 years of the late Rev. Dr. Ronald C. Smeaton (2015). Dear mother of Ruth McClary (late Mac) of Ogden, Utah and William Kennedy of Waterloo. Loved grandmother of Andy, Brian and Becky. Sadly missed by her sisters Arlene Scott (Jim), Carol Dawson (Wib); her brothers Eugene (Bella), Owen (Lois), Aurel (Carol), Raymond (Diane) and her brother-in-law Rodney Smeaton (Peggy). She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Bob and infant son Robert Arthur (1962). Delores was a graduate of the class of 1958 from the Peterborough Civic School of Nursing and obtained her BA in History from the University of Guelph in 2013. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at Gilchrist Chapel – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph, N1E 4J3 on Tuesday July 30th, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service in the Chapel beginning at 2:00 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Three Willows United Church or the Mission & Service Fund - United Church of Canada.
