Obituary of Linda McCorkindale

McCorkindale, Linda Marlow (Nee Jones) ~ Linda, in her 68th year, passed away peacefully at home, after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, October 4, 2019. Loving wife of 48 years to Bill. Loved mother of Armand and Todd (Jen Hargraves) of Sudbury, and cherished grandma of Grace Agnes McCorkindale of Sudbury. Linda was the daughter of the late Allen (2002) and Elsie (2016) Jones. Dear sister of Bob (Meg) Jones of Barrie (Bracebridge) and sister in-law of the late Nan (2003). Linda will be fondly remembered by her brothers in-law and sisters in-law, and her many nieces, nephews and their families. Linda was co-owner of King’s Stripping and Refinishing since 1991 as well as past coordinator of the Guelph MS Society Carnation Day, Past President of the Guelph Ladies Slo-Pitch League and until recently, an executive member of the Guelph Glass Guild. Special thanks to her niece Janet Stevenson and to her sister in-law Linda (Merkley) McCorkindale for their help over the past few weeks. A very special and heartfelt thanks to Pam Milton for her help, support and guidance over the last year. At Linda’s request, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held in her garden next spring. Memorial contributions to the Grand River Hospital Foundation or to the MS Society would be appreciated.
