Obituary of Winifred May Ross

Ross, Winifred May (nee Ready) Wyn passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at the Guelph General Hospital. She was the beloved wife for over 60 years of Ronald "Ron". Sister of Walter "Wally" Ready and loving aunt of Linda Ready (Ian Campbell) and their daughter, Mercedes. Born in London, England to Ernest and Lilian Ready, Wyn emigrated to Canada after World War II and shortly afterward, was widowed by Edward Hazell. She met Ron, who played for the O.A.C./O.V.C cricket team, at a cricket match. During their life together, they enjoyed travels to Europe, the Caribbean, Asia, USA and throughout Canada. The family wishes to thank the Doctors and Nurses on the 7th floor of Guelph General Hospital for the excellent care they provided; especially Ivan, Mark and Krista. If so desired, memorial contributions to the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital would be appreciated. Cremation is taking place and the family is having a private farewell for Wyn at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
