Obituary of Nikolaos Liadis

Liadis, Nikolaos "Nick" ~ Of Guelph, ON, diedpeacefully on the morning of Friday January 10th at the Innisfree House, Kitchener, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was in his 81st year. In the days preceding and on his passing, he was infallibly surrounded by his devoted family and the comforting care provided by the tireless staff of Innisfree house. Loving husband for 49 years to the late Pandora Liadis (d. 2016); devoted father to Mary (Stephen) Bronson and Amalia Liadis and doting grandfather to Aimee, Alethea and Demitra who will dearly miss their Papou. Survived by his brothers Carlos, Peter and Bill Liadis. Predeceased by his brother Petro Liadis and sisters, Metaxia (Liadis) Parthemos and Panagiota (Liadis) Faturos and by his parents Leonidas and Maria Liadis. Nick will be sadly missed by his beloved children and grandchildren, friends and family who knew him as the kind-hearted soul he was. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Trisagion Prayers at 8:00 p.m.) on Tuesday, January 14th at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph. Funeral service will take place at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 50 Dovercliffe Road, Guelph on Wednesday, January 15th at 11:00 a.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Innisfree house.
