Obituary of Richard Burgess

BURGESS, Richard Following a courageous battle with cancer, Richard Burgess passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2021 at 65 years of age with his wife of 31 years, Janet Burgess, his sister-in-law Josephine LeBlanc and his niece Brittney Wellwood by his side. He is now resting in peace with his son Timothy Burgess. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Butch Burgess (Carol), his sister-laws Jane Morrison, Judy LeBlanc, Jeannette Stephan (George), Josephine LeBlanc (Brian), Vangie Morrison, brother-in-law Joe LeBlanc (Dana), many nieces and nephews, and close friends. He is predeceased by his son Timothy Burgess, parents Harvey and Carrie Burgess, parent-in-laws Joseph and Greta LeBlanc and brother Timothy Burgess. Rick spent his last months ensuring his wife, family and friends knew how much he loved them. He put up an amazing fight in his battle against cancer - not for himself, but for the people he would be leaving. Even on his worst days, he tried to make the people around him laugh. But we know he got the last laugh with one final win from the Leafs! His love and devotion to his wife was palpable.
