Obituary of Shirley Joanne Veldman

Veldman, Shirley Joanne Died peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at the age of 75 years. Shirley was the beloved wife for over 56 years of the late Hendrick Cornelius Veldman (2020). Proud and loving mother of Dawn Butler and Henry Veldman. Cherished Nana of Bradley, Wayne, Ashley, Brian and the late Sarah. Great Nana of Damian, Alice and Joey. Shirley was the dear sister of Barb Allsop (Eric), Bob Breese (Diane), Gordon Breese (Marijke), Johnny Breese (Brenda), Kenny Breese (late Linda), Wayne Breese (Sharon), Dennis Breese (Karen), Larry Breese (Velvet), Sherri Buckley (Bob) and the late Jimmy Breese "Roth", Donald, Betty, Linda and David Breese. Sister-in-law of Ann Hollar (George), Irene Saunders (Herb), Wilma Hudson (George), Bert Veldman (Michelle). Fondly remembered by many, many nieces, nephews, dear friends, and extended family. Predeceased by her parents; Gordon and Dorothy Breese. Please understand that we will be following social distancing protocols due to COVID-19. Although we are extending visitation to family and friends, we ask that you do not visit if feeling unwell or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 The family will receive friends at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. You must contact the funeral home to pre-register and receive a specific visitation time, with the exception of the family members who have been invited to attend the funeral service.
