Obituary of William Aird

AIRD, William June 7, 1927- March 23, 2022 Bill wasn’t a remarkable man to the average person and if you googled him, you would never find him, but to us, he was spectacular. He was a good man, and he left the world a better place. He loved generously and was loved by all who knew him. He could solve any problem and he did, ‘No problem can’t be fixed – as long as you have your health.’ He was a gentleman - generous, positive, happy, kind, caring and selfless. In fact, during his last days, the only concern he had on his mind was that everyone was going to be ok. At Centre Island in Toronto, we would always laugh and compare death to the paddle boat swans that you could rent. One day, your number is called and that would be you. Well, Granda, your number has been called, time to come ashore. Off to your kip – for the ultimate nap you’ve been looking forward to for so long. He would get a chuckle from that. Predeceased by his wife Margaret (Penny) and survived by Deborah and Doug and their children and grandchildren Wendy (Tim) Turner - Adam, Henry and Robin (Joe) Phillips - Mia. Good night sweet, sweet Prince, you were a King among us. A private family ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held due to most of his friends and family beating him to those Pearly Gates.
