Obituary of William Gordon Evans

EVANS, William Gordon “Button”.

Passed away at his home on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Violet Evans.  Loving father of Keith, Gary (Doris), and Rich. Cherished grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  Survived by his brother Martin Evans and by many relatives and friends. Born and raised in Cape Breton, Button was an avid hockey fan and enjoyed NASCAR.  He was a well-respected custodian at John F. Ross CVI. and an Honorary Member of Club 10.

The Evans family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at the Brombal Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held from the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception.
