Obituary of Michael Bruno Ferringo
Ferringo, Michael (Mike) Bruno.
Passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Saviour at the Elliott Community Nursing Home in Guelph on Friday November 22, 2024, in his 95th year. Beloved son of the late Gerald and Josephine (Festa) Ferringo. Mike will be sadly missed by his surviving siblings Carlo (Gillian) Ferringo, Linda (Joe) Fabbian and Nancy (George) Pigozzo. Predeceased by his brother Jerry d.(2011), his sister Margaret d.(2021) and his brother Sandy d.(2024). Fondly remembered with much love by many nieces and nephews who held a very special place in his heart, relatives, and dear friends. Mike loved and was loved by his lifelong companion and soulmate Lena Tavascia who brought him infinite joy and fulfillment. Mike was a caring and gentle soul who will be forever remembered for his countless acts of kindness and generosity, and for always living life with humility and gratitude.
The family wishes to express our heartfelt thanks to Bishop Matthew Ustrzycki and Genevieve Ustrzycki for their friendship, support and prayers; to the staff and management at Stone Lodge Retirement Residence for the happy family memories shared with Mike and friends while in residence; the LaPointe-Fisher Nursing Home for their exceptional care, kindness and compassion over the past five years, and the Elliott Community during his brief stay. Cremation has taken place, and a private service will be held at the Brombal Funeral Home, One Delhi Street Guelph, followed by interment of cremated remains in Marymount Cemetery Guelph in the Spring of 2025. As expression of Sympathy, donations to Parkinson Canada, Alzheimer’s Society of Canada, Hospice Wellington Guelph would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged through the funeral home.
