Obituary of Wendy Hamilton

Wendy Hamilton

1949-2024

Her family mourn the unexpected passing of Wendy Hamilton, life-long resident of Guelph, dedicated and decorated member of the Guelph Fire Department for more than 29 years.

Wife of Don, mother of Michelle Harms, Cathy Smith, Duncan Hamilton and their spouses Joe Harms, Doug Smith and Jes Oukes. Proudest grannie to our late infant grand-daughter Jennifer, as well as Taylor and Keira Harms, Daniel, David and Desmond Hamilton, all still at home. Wendy also leaves brother Jim and his wife Eleanor Young and their family.

Retired CO of RCAC 1882 Wellington Rifles Army Cadets. Active in the Anglican Church as well as Guiding, Scouting, and School Board. She was the happiest when delivering praise and recognition to those young and old in her dedicated circles of friendship.

Merlin the Airedale also misses grannie.

Friends will be received at the Brombal Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Funeral Service will follow from St. George's Anglican Church, 99 Woolwich Street, Guelph at 1:00 p.m.

Had we never loved sae kindly,

had we never loved sae blindly,

never met and never parted,

we’d had ne’re been broken hearted.
