He was a cherished and respected father to Bill Dechert (Joan) of Guelph,

Steve Dechert (Donna) of Plattsville, grandfather to Amanda Dechert, Matthew

Dechert, and Jade Dechert, and Great Grandfather to Max and Isaiah.

Jim will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his second family: Andy

Jim wore many hats in his long life. He was a carpenter for many years,

Jim was a proud Canadian and had an avid interest in our history and our

military.
