Obituary of George Edwin Greer

George Edwin Greer (1963 – 2024)

A car, truck, motorcycle and plane fanatic, George Greer, aged 60 of Flamborough Ontario, died on July
22nd, 2024.

He was born in 1963 in Orangeville, Ontario to parents Robert Edwin Greer and Audrey Lois Newsome.
When Robert passed, Lois re-married to Paul Culverwell – his loving stepfather and father figure.

George is remembered by friends, family and colleagues as a hard working, selfless and having a heart of
gold. Whether it was helping people fix their cars, volunteering his time at London and St. Thomas air
shows or any other project, George was there and usually putting his own affairs last.
When he did find time for himself, George loved to tinker with anything mechanical. He worked on
vehicles of all kinds, but he had special place in his heart for off-road rigs and motorcycles. If he wasn’t
in the shop fixing something or building the next contraption, he would be flexing the nerdier side of his
brain in front of a table full of computers. He loved to build computers and help people out with their
tech problems, and was always reading up on the newest computer tech.
George had a love for the outdoors. He spent countless hours outside every year maintaining his
vegetable garden. When he wasn’t gardening he would take long road trips on his motorcycle with a
friend or alone. Or long off-roading adventures in his 4-runner. Often times, his most comforting
moments were spent at night, relaxing by the fire, either at a cottage, campsite or his own backyard.
George is fondly remembered by his family. His four children, Cassidy, Mitchell, Jacob and Lukas. His
grandchildren Aiden, Morgan and Andrew. His mother and stepfather, Lois and Paul. His siblings, James,
Carol, Kathleen and Kenneth and Brian. George joins his father Robert, brother Michael and stepfather
Raymond.
A celebration of life is being held on Wednesday July 31st at Brombal Funeral Home, 5pm to 8pm.
