Obituary of Bill Dobbie

DOBBIE, GEORGE WILLIAM “BILL”

Passed away peacefully with his family on Saturday, July 20^th, 2024 at Golden Years in Cambridge, Ontario at the age of 82.

Loving father of Paula Dobbie-Evans (Paul) and the late Bill Jr. (1986). Dear brother of Bob Dobbie (Pat), Bonnie Chow (Michael), Lynda Elliott, John Dobbie (Diane), Arthur Dobbie (Marta), Patricia Pelliter (Claude), Debra Dobbie (Deb Harrison), Amy Whetstone (Wayne) and Kim Davidson (Paul).

Predeceased by his parents John and Velma Dobbie, Barbara Blondin (Alfred), Beverly McQuinn (Bud), Paul Dobbie (Dianne Fenton). He will be sadly missed by his former wife Sandra Dobbie, sister-in-law Nancy Aikens (the late John Aikens) and by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Bill was a Past President and former active member of the Puslinch Optimist Club, a well-known painter and an extraordinary paper hanger.  He enjoyed his yearly fishing trip with friends and a game of golf.

Friends may call at the Brombal Funeral Home & Cremation Care, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Monday, July 29^th from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. A private interment will be held at New Hope Cemetery, Cambridge.  Memorial contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Guelph Humane Society would be appreciated.
