McKINNON, Anne 

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anne McKinnon on May 11, 2024. Her vibrant spirit and colorful personality touched the lives of many. Anne was a beloved Wife, Mother, Sister and Aunt. She was also affectionately known as "Pink Haired" Grandma. Adored and loved by a long list of friends, Anne will be missed greatly.

After graduating from The University of Toronto with Honors, Anne dedicated her career to the field of education, working as a Special Education Teacher with the Upper Grand District School Board. Later in her career, she became an Educational Assistant and a mentor to young teachers, leaving a lasting impact on countless students and educators.

Anne had an immense passion for sports, especially those involving her Children and Grandchildren. She was their biggest fan, always cheering them on with enthusiasm and pride.  She loved watching movies on the big screen pop and popcorn in hand, experiencing Broadway Shows, going to Concerts with friends and family, watching her beloved Toronto Raptors every season and travelling to Nascar Races around the USA.  She had a zest for life and for having fun and will be remembered as such by those that loved her.

Anne is survived by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband Robert McKinnon (2016); She was Mother to Children Mike McKinnon (Sally Taylor + Nicolle McKinnon) and Kelly Shock (Dr Dan Shock); Sister to John Hollywood (Judy Hollywood); Grandma to Mitchell + Camille McKinnon, Drew + Maggie Shock and Sidney Taylor McKinnon; Aunt to Tim Povey (Dawn Povey) and Shelly Boehmer (Chad Boehmer) 

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
