Obituary of Mildred Ruth Kurtz

KURTZ, Ruth (Mildred) (nee Densmore).

1926 – 2024

One month before her 98^th birthday, Ruth went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Wife of the late Ralph John Kurtz. Loved mother of the late Brian (Judy), Wayne (the late Sheila), and Sharon (Larry). Grandmother of Trevor (Joanne), Brent (the late Maggie), Gerrad (Connie), Geordie (Lindsay), Pam (Jason), Kyle, Rodney (Susanne), and Krista (Brent). Great grandmother of Robert (Taylor), Richard, Derek (Bella), Blair, Tye (Jess), Reed (Laura), Matthew (Quinn), Kiana, Zachary, Grayson, Sarah, Megan, Curtis, Mitchell, Gillian, Noah, and sister-in-law Iris. Predeceased by siblings Edna (Mike), Adele (Harvey), Clifford (Isabel), Aileen (Earl), Winfred (Pearl) and Charlie and in-laws Dorothy (Ron), Jim (Helen), Rita (Jim), Wilfrid (Dorothy), Gerald (Doreen) and Irene (Dick).

Ruth lived in her home for 66 years, loved her sports, especially the Blue Jays. She waterskied till she was 82, swimming, bowling, and playing euchre and bid euchre. She worked at Homewood as a switchboard operator for many years.  Her eyes would light up every time you talked, or she saw her grandkids, great grandkids and even the four-legged ones.  She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Thanks to Kathy and the caregivers for taking good care of her. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of your choice would be appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 26th 2-4:30 at Ariss Valley Golf Course, 5700 County Rd 86, Ariss, Ontario.
