So sorry to gear of John's passing. I met him as we both desired to praise God and understand his purpose for us. We became buddies when he joined our Christian group. As teens we had lots of dreams and questions. It was a time to search for meaning and truth while taking time to enjoy life. John encouraged me to face my challenges and he taught me to learn to ride a bicycle. Our group had fun, fostering positive friendships and memories. Rest in peace my friend. May God continue to watch over and bless those who will miss you and who loved you dearly. Your old friend, Debbie (Langley) Campbell and Donnie Campbell

Sending condolences to Sandy, Jacob & Joshua. While it had been many years since we last saw John, the memories are all happy ones. Whether at church, family get-togethers or sharing thoughts on faith in small group, John's happy-go-lucky attitude was always encouraging. Getting a job done however, often took a little extra time because a coffee chat with friends frequently took priority. Rest with Jesus now, John. Your earthly struggles have been replaced by heavenly peace.
With love,
cousins Kathy & Bill Ferguson

I did respite work for Jacob and saw firsthand John's passion for coaching the Milton Special Olympics soccer team.

We have known John from New Life CRC and the clothing closet and cafe at the church,
John would always come for a coffee, or coffees!! and would love to chat with those who were working there.
Our deepest sympathy to John’s sons, and his family in their loss.

John was a fun brother-in-law to my husband and I and we have many fond memories. I met John about 48 years ago when I was a young teenager and my friends and I had fun piling into the backseat of his little car as he drove us all to the various weekend Coffee Houses we loved to attend. After marrying my sister we had many holidays at the cottage my husband and I own at Spanish, Ontario and our children spent many weeks of many summers together. I am very grateful to have so many memories to cherish of our brother-in-law, John.
