I got to know Dave about 5 years ago. Don't like, don't not like, kinda like, like, friends. That's about the chronological gist of it.
Dude and I had some great conversations, unique outlook on things.
Dave it was an honour to be considered a friend, and a privilege to have known you.
Bon voyage

Our deepest condolences to Dave’s family. Terry and I have known Dave for 30 plus years. Working with Dave was always an experience, he easily made everyone laugh at his foibles. Dave, Stan and I with many others spent many weekdays on various golf courses, with Dave spending as much time in the bush hunting a new supply of golf balls as golfing. Next thing you know he had you in the bush helping him out, otherwise the game would go into overtime. We were fortunate to keep in touch even after we retired and moved away. Typical Dave he called a few weeks ago and added Brother Bob to the conversation. We will truly miss “The Dude”. Terry and Mike Hanson

I am very sorry to hear of David's passing. I remember David as a small, quiet boy in my class at Paisley Road School. He started out as a reluctant reader and then one day when I asked the class to prepare for recess, David kept his head in his book and continued to read it. When I was finally able to rouse him from the book he smiled shyly and said that he loved reading now because he could have experiences that he couldn't have in his real life. From that point on, he chose to read at every opportunity. A memorable moment for a teacher. I often thought of him throughout the years and hoped he was living well although I never saw him after his elementary school years. My condolences to David's family and friends.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the recent passing of David. When he was a young boy we spent many hours together and for several years he was like part of our family. I was David's Big Brother.
He was a shy good looking kid that loved to come to our our and play with our sons.
We lost contact for many years but I was happy to reconnect with David recently.
RIP David.
