Condolences to Daniel, Gary, Kim and David, and grandchildren for your loss. I knew of Audrey mainly through Gary's recollections over the years, although I met Audrey once or twice. May God's peace be with her.
Back in 1959 I had the pleasure of working with Audrey at the Guelph Mercury. R L Hamill, the Publisher, purchased some of Audrey's art and I had the task of taking them to the framers for him. Good memories. Dan, my condolences to you and the Family. You and my Father, Jim, sang together in the Church of Our Lady Choir. Fond memories all round.
I am deeply sorry to hear about the passing of Audrey Knight. Audrey was not only an exceptional piano teacher who provided me with invaluable guidance in my early musical journey, but also a kind and warm-hearted soul. I remember fondly how she, along with David's father Dan, always welcomed me into their home with warm smiles and a friendly greeting no matter the time between my visits. My bond with your family, especially with David as a close friend and bandmate, has been a significant part of my life for over three decades. The memory of our delightful day touring a castle in the UK and enjoying a hearty pub lunch will always be cherished. Please know that my thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with you and your family during this difficult time. Audrey's spirit and friendly smile will be deeply missed but forever remembered. Audrey & I were coworkers in the Crop Science department at U of G back in the seventies. What a jolly time we had on our coffee breaks all in a circle (at our desks!).
Audrey was the life of the party on many occasions and although we lost touch over the years I still think of her often.
