Obituary of Maria Carvalho

CARVALHO, Maria (nee Cardoso) Peacefully with her children at her side at Hospice Wellington Residence on Monday, July 15, 2013. Maria was the devoted and loving wife to the late Paulo Carvalho (2010). She is survived by her children Maria McDougall (Randy), Tony Carvalho (Yvonne) and Angela Carvalho. Avo will be severely missed by her grandchildren: Adam, Sarah (Chris Fulcher), Jeff, Jennifer, Joshua, Ty, Payton and her great grandson Owen. Left to mourn her passing are her siblings Joao Cardoso, Maria-Jose de Melo, Grace Morgado, Manuela Costa, Ed Cardoso and their families. Lovingly remembered by her Godmother in Montreal Maria-Rosa Furtado. Maria was a devoted long-time member of St Josephs’ Parish in Guelph. She was a devoted mother and wife and her happiness and love of life were shared with all who knew her. Her deep love for her children and grandchildren will always be felt and remembered by those close to her. Over the years many strangers and those less fortunate were treated as royalty by Maria’s hospitality and as Jesus wanted, the hungry were fed. Maria had deep compassion for others and happily fulfilled her life in service to many. Her warm smile and love of life will be missed by all who knew her. Her strength and work ethic will live on in those she touched.
