Obituary of Jess White

White, Jess Passed away peacefully at Wellington Terrace on Saturday, December 9, 2017, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Ian White (1990). Mother of Jan Hunter (John) and grandmother of Katelyn Hunter (Stefano) and Alison Hunter (Bennett). Jess was a career teacher. Always an advocate for "putting your nose to the grind stone" and paying attention. All her students benefited from her positive influence and direction. Jess was respected by her peers. She embraced her career with passion as one of the few female vice principals of her time at G.C.V.I. Jess loved the activities at the cottage and the outdoors which included skiing, hiking, tennis and golf. She was a force to be reckoned with, in the best of all ways. Her vibrant, spunky personality will be missed. At Jess’s request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation and inurnment has taken place at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph, (519-824-0031). We invite you to leave your memories and donations online at: www.gilchristchapel.com and they will be forwarded to the family.
