Obituary of Louise Bell

Bell, Margaret Louise ~ Peacefully passed away at St. Joseph’s Home on August 12 2015. Louise has joined her beloved husband Rayner (passed August 2003). She will be deeply missed by her loving children Susan Bell, Janet and Michael Smith, Sharon and Jake Wolters, Brian and Carol Bell; and her grandchildren; Pamela and Rich (Lester), Andrew (Amanda) Smith, Alicia and James (Gibson), Jocelyn and Colin Faulkner, Austin and Courtney Bell, Nicole (great grandchild, Ella), Ryan and Carli Wolters and many nieces, nephews, friends and family in England. Predeceased by her siblings; Ernie Maddeaux (Enid), Doriene Wallace (Doug), Bette Martin, Arnold, Jimmy and Russell (Helen) Maddeaux, Sylvia Pullan (Jack) Mom was an Angel to so many; she worked as a Red Cross Homemaker, cared for her ill mother, then her husband for 17 years at home. She became a therapeutic touch practitioner and offered treatments to patients at her many volunteer positions. Mom spent endless days & evenings as a palliative caregiver. She volunteered at Wellspring Niagara, Hospice Niagara, Hotel Dieu Hospital in St Catharine’s and Niagara General Hospital. Thank you to so many, especially Kelli & Jackie for your care and friendship to Mom. Thanks to Victor, Jill, & Outreach/Respite staff, Dr. Isla McPherson, nurses, and PSW’s at St Joseph’s who became family to Mom these last 6 months. You all are God’s Angels. Friends may call in at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph, (from 1-4 p.m. Saturday). Service will be held at Lakeside Church 7654 Conservation Rd, Guelph on Sunday, August 16th at 3:00 p.m. Cremation then inurnment at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery on Wednesday, August 19 at 2:30pm. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. We invite you to leave your memories and donations online.
