Obituary of John Goddard

Goddard, John Douglas ~ Peacefully, at Hospice Wellington, on September 6, 2012 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Joan (Kennedy) Goddard. Loving father of Catherine (Paul) Freudenthaler of Toronto, Carolyn (Jamie) Errington of Red Deer, AB and Barbara (Neale) Waters of Kamloops, BC. Proud grandfather of Stephanie & Douglas Siddall, Patrick & David Errington, Mitchell (Jesse), Lesley & Shane Waters and great grandson Mason Waters. Sadly missed by his sister Margaret Goddard of Guelph and his brother Brian (Dorothy) Goddard of Barrie. John was a University of Toronto graduate of Engineering and Business (1951). After 18 years as an industrial engineer, John was 23 years at Conestoga College. John had a lifelong love of aviation, sailing and learning. A celebration of John’s life, with informal tributes, will be held at the GUELPH COUNTRY CLUB, 133 Woodlawn Road, Guelph on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 3 – 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Salvation Army or Hospice Wellington would be appreciated.
