Obituary of Helen Woodside

Passed away peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital, Thursday May 16 at 10 a.m. at the age of 102 years. Predeceased by Willson, her beloved husband of 55 years; and by her great friend Ross Knechtel. Mother of Murray (Ann), Don (Harriet), Ken (Mary), Martha (Sepp Thoma), and Hartley (Kathleen). She was actively involved in the lives of her grandchildren; Steven, Michael, David, Sarah, Simon, Jennifer, Jonathan, Suzanne, Christian, Claire and Elizabeth. Proud great grandmother of eight. Helen grew up on a farm near Caledonia and remained deeply attached to that community. She raised her family in Toronto, then lived 45 years in Guelph, including 24 years in the Elliott Community, where she treasured many friendships. The family wish to thank the staff of Retirement Plus for their enthusiastic and loving care. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in early summer.
