Kelley, Peter Edmund ~ Passed away suddenly at the Guelph General Hospital on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the age of 86. Loved son of the late Peter and Cleta (Farrell) Kelley. Brother of Cleta Young of Kitchener and brother in-law of Larry McIntyre. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Predeceased by his siblings, Barbara McIntyre, Delma Jackson, James, Joel and Daniel Kelley and by his dear friend Bill Stuart (2002). Peter was a reporter for the Guelph Daily Mercury; Past President and former District Vice President of Ontario Junior Chamber of Commerce; former Alderman with the City of Guelph; former Trustee with the Wellington County Separate School Board; former Governor of Bishop MacDonnell High School; former Vice Chairman with the Guelph Public Library Board; Past President of the Guelph Jaycees; Past Vice President of District 3 Ontario Jaycees; former Director of Guelph and Wellington branch of Canadian Arthritis and Rheumatism Society; former Night Manager for Holiday Inn and organizer of the first annual Jaycees Santa Claus parade in Guelph. He will be remembered by many.
