Born in Guelph in 1928 and passed away on May 11, 2021 at the age of 92 years, after nearly 8 years of exceptional care at Eden House in Eden Mills. She was predeceased by husband John Christie Amos (1963) and by husband Stuart MacTavish (2019). Gone before her were her parents Jack and Eileen Eadie, her sister Anne Bulger (Morris), Brother John Eadie (Lordeen), brother-in-law Ken Woods and daughter-in-law Betsey . Mom will be extremely missed by her children Dianne and Arnie, Susan, Sharon and Wim, Dave, Joey and Herb and daughter-in-law Lynn Griffiths. She will be dearly missed by her loving sister Eileen Woods and her lifelong friend Terry Gumbley. With much love and feisty determination Mom raised us on her own, working full time in the "60’s" but showed by example to take ...One day at a time! She had 11 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews who thought the world of her. Mom was very proud of her Irish background and loved to celebrate St Paddy’s Day with family and friends every year. She loved to read, to listen/ sing along with the Irish songs and she loved good chocolate. We would like to thank the Dr. and staff at Eden House so much, and of course the every day interaction with the PSW’s that kept her happy and comfortable and we will always be so grateful. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph, (519-824-0031). We invite you to leave your memories online at: www.gilchristchapel.com and they will be forwarded to the family.
