Obituary of Shirley Schuler

Schuler, Shirley Ann It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom Shirley Schuler (nee Haingschwang) on Saturday, March 11, 2023. She passed away at home, peacefully, after a short illness. Shirley was the beloved wife and lifelong fishing partner of the late Robert (Bob 2007) for 47 years and loving mother to Sandy Allaire (Mario 2006), Brenda Cabeldu and Krista Panopoulos (Mike). Big sister to Wayne Hainschwang (Carol), Wendy Durfey (Ross) and Lori Stalbaum (Hank). Proud Grandma to Daniel, Cassie, Rochelle, and Dayle. Aunt to Rick (Maureen), Randy, Peggy (Joe), John, Karen (Bill), Rick (Carolyn), Brad, Corrie (Brian), Rob and Jason (Vernal). Shirley was an employee at the Guelph Correctional Centre for more than 30 years. In retirement, she volunteered her time at the Evergreen Senior’s Centre. We would like to thank the nurses from Bayshore and Dr. Shafir for their help and care with our mom. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at Gilchrist Chapel McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph (519-824-0031) on Thursday, March 16 at 1:00 p.m. with visiting for an hour prior (from 12 – 1 p.m.). Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
