Obituary of Eileen Stewart Castle)

After a brief illness, and with her family present, Eileen passed away peacefully on July 8, 2015 at the age of 94. She was the loving mother of Charles (Patricia), Donald (Karen), Margaret (Gerald Manning) and David (Isabel). Predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Murdoch, and her siblings William, Stanley, Arthur, Albion, Ruth, and Clifford. Eileen’s passion for music inspired her to become an accomplished pianist and organist. In the 1940s and 1950s Eileen served as organist and choir director at Church Of The Good Shepherd, First Baptist, and Knox United churches in Cornwall, and at Central Avenue United in Fort Erie in the 1960s. She was an active U.C.W. member at Hamilton Westdale and Guelph Dublin Street United for three decades. Eileen will be fondly remembered by her 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and extended family and friends. The family members express their thanks and appreciation to the professional and caring staff of Riverside Glen and CCAC. A private family remembrance service will be held in Guelph in October.
