Brubacher, Eleanor (née Barnes)
The family of Eleanor sadly announces her passing at Guelph General Hospital on May 26, 2017 at the age of 91. Eleanor was born in Ailsa Craig, Ontario on November 1, 1925. Known as "The Queen", Eleanor was married to Ray Brubacher for 68 years. They began their married life in Bridgeport before moving to Ohio and Wisconsin, returning to Ontario in 1967.
Mum, who never met a stranger, enjoyed gardening, painting, traveling, her beloved pets, and all the wonderful winters they spent at their home in Lakeland, Florida. Eleanor was a member of the Women's League of Trinity United Church in Guelph for many years, as well as the Women's Institute group. She was also an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Missed by her children Cathy, Bob, Meg and Amy. Her grandchildren, Sara, Emily, Noah and Cailey are saddened to lose their Granny. She was also blessed with four great grandchildren. Survived by her three sisters, Emily, Helen and Janet.
