Obituary of James Andrew Foote

Foote, James Andrew (VE3DKF) ~ Peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph, on Monday, May 20, 2013. Jim is survived by his wife for over 61 years, Ellen Foote (Middlemiss); his daughter Mary Jean Darroch (Murray); his grandsons Andrew, Scott, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Russell Foote and Jean V. Ronald (Foote); step father, Roy Ronald and sister & brother in-law Elizabeth Howard (Gord). Jim was born and raised in Fergus and spent a few years sailing on the great lakes before entering into retail business. Upon retirement, Jim and Ellen settled into their cottage and he applied himself full time to his ham radio hobby. Jim was a member of the Fergus Legion Branch #275. As per Jim’s request, cremation has taken place and inurnment will follow at BelsydeCemetery in Fergus at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre for their devoted care.
