Obituary of Edwin Cruz

After a long and hard battle, Edwin passed away peacefully in the early morning hours surrounded by his family and friends at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, Hamilton, on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the age of 50 years. Beloved husband of Alma Cruz (Mendoza/Cortez). Proud and loved father of Mae. Cherished son of Agapito and Remedios Cruz. Dear brother of Ardel, Leslie, Elinor, Romel and Zerly. Edwin will be greatly missed by aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends, and co-workers from Spinic. Friends may call at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph (from 2 – 4 & 7 - 9 p.m.) Friday, February 28, 2014. Additional visitation will take place at New Life Christian Reformed Church, 400 Victoria Road North, Guelph (from 9 to 10 a.m) Saturday, March 1, 2014. A celebration of Edwin’s life will follow at 10 a.m. at the church. Refreshments will be served after the service. Private family interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
