Obituary of Rodney Farrell Ackroyd

Sweet Prince Rod was a prince of a man who left us gently on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Grand River Hospital. Keeping his memories alive, treasuring his stories and missing him dearly are his wife Joani Horvath; his mother Olive Ackroyd, and sisters Heather Grondin, Mary Lang (Jim), Gayle Ackroyd Gibson (John), and Wendy Bremner (Scott). His nieces, nephews and many cousins enjoyed his gentle humour and stories of the family. We’ll never forget his beautiful smile. In keeping with his wishes and remembering the good times, the family will host a celebration of life at The Arboretum, University of Guelph, on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph, (519-824-0031).
