Obituary of Fred Dack

DACK, Frederick George, B.A., M.Ed. - on March 19, 2015 at Lapointe-Fisher Nursing Home at the age of 83 after a 23 year battle with Parkinson’s. Fred will be missed by his wife Lorraine, his two children Brian and Sandy, Brian’s children Alyssa Dack, Scott Dack and his fiancée Ashlie Amos and their sons Frederick and James. Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Walter Dack and his brother Harold. Fred leaves a legacy of helping young people in his career as an elementary school principal, as organizer and coach of Boys’ Minor Softball and as a youth group leader. He was a gifted storyteller and used his talents to support charities that worked with children and those with disabilities. Friends may call at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph (from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday). Funeral service will be held at the chapel on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev Dr. Shirley Gale officiating. A private family interment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
