Obituary of Fred Eidlin

Eidlin, Fred ~ Passed away at the Guelph General Hospital on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Elina Zavgorodny. Proud father of Barry (Anne Quismorio) of MontrealQC, Eric (Renae Waneka) of Berkeley, CA and Alena (Stephen Han) of WasagaBeach. Cherished grandfather of Elsie, Clayton and Ryo. Dear brother of Doris Cohen of Rochester, NY; uncle of Stephen, David and Sharon and their families. Fred was a long time professor of political science at the University of Guelph and also a renowned expert on Eastern European politics and the philosophy of social science. He will be fondly remembered by many colleagues and friends worldwide. A memorial service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, 99 Woolwich Street, Guelph, on Saturday, November 12 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society Research Institute would be appreciated.
