Obituary of Gordon Odell

Odell, Gordon James Born in Montreal in 1921. Passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Veteran's Hospital on February 28 th , 2017 where he received wonderful care for the past year and a half. Son of H.James Odell and Lillian Fraser. Predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years Jean MacKinnon, his son David (and David's infant twin Peter), son-in-law Peter Lindsay, sister Phyllis (Del) and brother Howard (Claudette). Survived by his daughter Vicki, and her children Michael (Carly) and Robin, and his three great grandchildren William, Elizabeth and Peter. A fourth great granddaughter is due any day now. Remembered by his daughter-in-law Cynthia and her family as well as nephews and nieces and extended family and friends. Following the termination of WWII, he enrolled in Concordia University in Montreal and graduated with a B.Com in 1949. He enjoyed a distinguished business career including General Sales Manager of Moffats Ltd. and later President and C.E.O. of National Drug and Chemical from 1964-1986. A memorial service will be held at a later date. For those who wish, contributions may be made in his memory to The Salvation Army or to Sunnybrook Veterans Hospital.
