Obituary of Rhonda Steeves
Steeves, Rhonda Gail
It is with great sadness that the family of Rhonda Steeves (nee Ackland) announce her passing at Hospice Wellington on Monday, November 6th, 2017. She will be forever missed by her daughters Sherry Saunders (Ron) and Rhonda Brunning (Greg) and her son Dan Bernard (Barb). She was a loving and proud grandmother to Sarah (John), DJ (Shelby), Julia (Joel), Alex, Leah, Jolie and Gregory and a great grandmother to Julianna and Blake. Rhonda was a dear sister to Vern Ackland (Gisele), Betty Lovewell, Nelda Robb (Jim), Ian Ackland (Pat) and Loreen Knight as well as to the late Beryl Jackson and Helen Brooks. For all who knew her, Rhonda was a true friend and caregiver. Her hospitality through her skills as a great cook and master baker were enjoyed by many and as she managed through her illnesses; there was not a nurse, technician or doctor who didn’t benefit from those great skills. She was an active member of many art groups and created beautiful art pieces that gave her great joy in the last many years. Her unwavering faith in God was what fueled her through her illnesses and she faced each day as a new opportunity to tell those around her that God was the divine master of her life. She will be missed immensely, but the joy of one day seeing her again in glory provides great comfort. A special thank you to Dr. David Hood of Guelph for his commitment and care and the staff of Riverside Glen Retirement Home and Hospice Wellington for the care and compassion they showed to our family during this difficult time. Also a heartfelt thanks to Kim Taylor for the love and support over the last year. Rhonda will also be fondly remembered by Selby Steeves.
