Obituary of Winnifred Halina

HALINA, Winnifred Gail ~ Passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the Guelph General Hospital. Born in Toronto, she moved to attend the University of Guelph in 1970, and never went back. Active in the Horticultural Society, YMCA and a regular at the Guelph Farmers' Market, theatres, gem shows, the many activities her ceaseless curiosity and energy allowed her, Winn will be missed by the many she enjoyed time with. After a long career at University of Guelph, she spent her retirement years enjoying her life and making the most of it. Survived by her brother, Willard Halina, niece, Elissa Halina, nephews, Patrick Halina and Thomas Halina, and in Saskatoon; aunt, Helen Weenk, cousins, Catherine & Cora Weenk, Ron, Karen & Sue Halina. Cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or charity of your choice, would be appreciated, to enhance Winn's own many contributions.
