Obituary of Dimitrios Karayannopoulos

Karayannopoulos, Dimitrios (Jim) October 26, 1942 – December 15, 2015 Passed away peacefully, at home, with his family by his side. Dimitrios was born in Agaleo (Athens, Greece) the son of the late Evangelos and Sophia Karayannopoulos. Beloved husband of Mary (Salta) Karayannopoulos for 51 years. Loved father of Andrew, George (Candy) and Chris. Dimitrios was the brother of John, the late Christina (John Tsikis), Vasiliki (Kostas Kallitsis) and Jerry. He will be sadly missed by many nephews and nieces. Dimitrios was one of the original founders of Guelph Fashion Furs from 1969 – 2015. He was a loyal member of the Guelph Sertoma Club and St. George’s Hellinic Greek Community where he served as president for 25 years.
