Bower, Eric Edward ~ Peacefully at the Village of Riverside Glen on Thursday April 9, 2015, Eric Bower at the age of 96 years. Beloved husband and best friend for 47 years of Rae (Waters) Bower. Dear father of Eric (Carolyn) of San Francisco, Ruth deceased 2006 (Patrick Smith) of Sarto, Manitoba, Kenneth (Karen) of Guelph and John (Deborah deceased 2014) of Guelph. Step father of Larry Webb (Linda) of Fergus. Sadly missed by his eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Predeceased by his first wife Marvel Ruth (Simpson), his sister Margaret, brothers Charles and Marshall. A World War II veteran, Eric was later an active member of the Guelph Lawn Bowling Club, Guelph Curling Club, Guelph Wellington Men’s Club and the Guelph Lodge A.F.& A.M.No.GRC. Arrangements entrusted to the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home. One Delhi Street, Guelph. In keeping with Eric’s wishes cremation has taken place, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
