So very sad to hear this. Henry was such an upstanding, integral part of the Donafeld family. He took on a lot of responsibility at a young age. I had a lot of respect for him.

I spent the last semester as a student in Henry's house. And seeing now he passing away, after all this months knowing him, it hurts. I miss the times that we were talking about economics and politics at Kitchen, sharing our opinions and knowledge that we had. He was just like my father here in Brazil: a mentor to understand better the world and specially our country's. We're here praying for your soul. My condolences, Matthew.

I'm so sorry to hear of Henry's passing. Henry was one of my associate teachers when I was a student teacher. Watching him teach, and then mentoring me, helped me to become the teacher I became. I think I almost gave him a heart attack when I chose to do 4 art centres and have the class rotate through them all - on Friday afternoon. Lovely man that he was, he let me do it, without running out of the classroom! Thank you Henry. Rest in peace.
