Obituary of Yolanda Dolores Cauz

YOLANDA CAUZ (nee FAZZARI)

Born June 1, 1928. Passed peacefully on July 21, 2026, at Barnswallow Place in Elmira.

Yoli is now reunited with love of her life, husband Antonio Cauz. She is also with her

sisters Mary Fazzari, Victoria Anderson (Albert), Eleanor Garcia (Edward), Rita Soligo

(Guy), brother Frank Fazzari (Mary) and parents Vincenza (Sorbara) and Ferdinando

Fazzari. Heaven is no longer peaceful with the Fazzari Family together again!

Yoli is missed by nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews

and great, great nieces and nephews.

Yoli was never one to be afraid to speak her mind and was known for her “feisty”

personality. She had a unique sense of humour and enjoyed bantering with those

around her. She loved the casino and we are sure Elora will miss her contributions to

their upkeep.

The family would like to give thanks to the staff at Barnswallow Place Care Community

for their patience, understanding and outstanding care for our aunt. She kept them on

their toes and they graciously continued to show up daily!

We would also like to express our thanks to her long-time PSW, Sylvia Bendo, who

went above and beyond in her care of Yolanda.

Finally, friends Iva Hodgson and Dona Steau as well as the people at Silver Maple

Seniors Community who thoughtfully included her in their activities

It took a village for this tiny spitfire woman!

A private family service and internment will be held at Marymount Cemetery as per her

wishes.

If desired, donations may be made to Barnswallow Place Councils in the form of a
