Obituary of Bruce Laverne King

KING, Bruce.

Bruce King peacefully passed away from WRHN Chicopee (formerly Grand River Hospital, Freeport Campus in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Audrey (nee McDougall) Bruce is survived by daughters Karen (Klein) and Donna and nephews Brian (Josephine) & Colin. Predeceased by his parents Frank & Helen, son Robert (1991) and his brother Gerry King 2010 (wife Mary Lee) Nancy (1976), & Richard (1943). Bruce built and spent many happy hours in his garage. His 2nd great joy was time spent with friends & camping at Parry Sound. A special thank you to PSW's from Closing the Gap as well doctors & nurses at the Guelph Dialysis Renal Clinic who provided care & support to Bruce over the years. More recently the team including Dr Dicu and Dr Shohill at WRHN Midtown (Grand River Hospital) and WRHN @ Chicopee. A visitation will be held at Brombal Funeral Home, One Delhi St. on Monday May 11, 2026, from 10-11 a.m. followed by a graveside burial and interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
