Obituary of Elaine Mary Robinson

ROBINSON, Elaine Mary (nee Van Santen)

Passed peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the age of 66. Beloved mother of Tanya Van Santen and the late Jason Van Santen; proud Nanny of Teasha Mary Hurdle and Sierra Grace Rogers.  Elaine will be deeply missed by siblings Dianne, Donald (Jeannie), Karen (Dean), Phillip (Helen) and predeceased by her brother Arthur (Donna). Predeceased by her parents John & Evelyn. Elaine is survived by many relatives and missed by her friends Charlie, Jack, Catherine “Cat” and Lori.

Elaine filled her life with many hobbies; she loved to swim, play bingo, to watch hockey and spend time with her family, especially with her granddaughters.

The family of Elaine would like to give a special thanks to all the doctors and nurses from Cambridge Memorial Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital and all of her physicians for their special care and compassion.

Cremation has taken place. For those who wish, donations in Elaine’s honour to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Cancer Society of Canada or Diabetes Canada would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
