Obituary of Bonnie Susan Simcoe
Bonnie Susan Simcoe
October 9, 1959 – January 22, 2026
With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Bonnie Susan Simcoe. At 66 years old, Bonnie departed this world as she lived in her later years—full of faith and deeply connected to her community.
A Life of Light and Faith
Bonnie was a woman who brought infectious laughter to every room she entered. While her journey through life was often marked by difficulty, she found a profound sense of peace and joy in her later years. Her unwavering love for the Lord was the cornerstone of her life; her family takes great consolation in the certainty that she is now at rest in Heaven.
Her Journey and Community
Born in Toronto, Bonnie lived across Canada, spent time in Vancouver, and eventually settled in Guelph, Ontario, which she called home for several years. She was a devoted member of her small prayer group and a tireless advocate for the marginalized. Bonnie’s heart belonged to those struggling with homelessness and hardship, and she dedicated her time to community outreach, offering support to those who needed it most.
Family
Bonnie was daughter of the late Ken and Mary-Lee. She will be deeply missed by her siblings, Christi, Liz, and Mike (Jen), as well as her nieces and nephews Tyler, Emma, Lucas, Peter, and Mary. She felt profoundly loved and supported by her Uncle Don McGinnis (Bonny) and Aunt Anne McGinnis-Hayes (Patrick). She now joins her beloved grandmother, Katherine McGinnis, in eternal peace.
Bonnie brought a light to this world that cannot be extinguished, and she will be missed beyond words by her family, her friends, and the many lives she touched.
