Obituary of Henry Oliver Stahlbaum

STAHLBAUM, Henry “Hank” Oliver

Passed surrounded by his loving family at Guelph General Hospital on Friday, January 9, 2026 at the age of 75. Beloved husband of over 50 years to Lori Stahlbaum; loving father of Robyn King, Corrie (Brian) Wilson and Robert Stahlbaum; proud grandfather of Taylor (Peter) Lehman, Brian Wilson Jr. and Hayden Stahlbaum (mother Amy Copeland); and great-grandfather of 4 great-grandsons. Hank will be deeply missed by his siblings Sharon (Wayne) Vandenberg, Bobby Crowder, Terry Crowder and Steven Stahlbaum. Brother-in-law to Wendy (Ross) Durfey and Carol Hainschwang; uncle to many loving nieces and nephews and good friend of Dave (Deanna) Lehman.

Hank loved being outdoors, especially fishing on the lake and playing horseshoes with his friends. He will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him. Hank spent his life on the road, for work and pleasure. He was the happiest being on the go and behind the wheel.

The family would like to thank Dr. Lala and the fifth-floor step-down nursing staff for all their care and support, especially thanking Sarah for her tremendous thoughtfulness and care she provided to Hank.

A Celebration of Hank’s Life will be held at The Red Chevron on 34 Elizabeth St, Guelph, ON N1E 2W6 on February 1st  2026 from 1pm to 4pm. The family welcomes all who would like to celebrate his life with love and laughter.

For those who wish, donations to a charity of your choice in Hank’s honour would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
