Obituary of Kiana Elizabeth Marie Leader

Our hearts are broken as we announce the sudden passing of our cherished and much-loved daughter, Kiana Elizabeth Marie Leader, who passed away peacefully at home with her parents by her side on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the young age of 26, following a blood clot to her lung.

Kiana was born on September 5, 1999, and from the moment she entered this world, she filled it with warmth, creativity, and love. She leaves behind her devoted parents, Rick and Tammy (Docksteader) Leader; uncles Mark Leader and Tim Docksteader; and cousins Clayton Schofield and Mike Leader. She was predeceased by her grandparents Peter and Marie Leader, Harvey and Shirley Docksteader, and her uncle Mike Leader. Her beloved fur babies, Moe, Boo, and Chester, are missing her dearly.

Those who knew Kiana loved her. She had a heart of gold and was a kind, gentle soul with a no-BS attitude that made her unforgettable. Incredibly creative and entirely self-taught, Kiana spent countless hours crocheting, knitting, and quilting. Her family and friends are blessed to have many of her beautiful handmade treasures—lasting reminders of her talent, patience, and love.

Kiana will be forever loved and never forgotten.

Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Kiana’s wishes, there will be no service. Those wishing to honor her memory are encouraged to make an on line donation in Kiana’s name to Thrombosis Canada, the Guelph Humane Society or to a charity of their choice.
