Obituary of Denise Ann Hebbes

HEBBES, Denise Ann (nee Ellig)

Passed unexpectedly at her home on December 26, 2025 at the age of 65. Beloved wife of Gary Dykeman; loving mother of Derek and Nicole; dear step-mother of Meghan (Alex) and Jeff (Jaclynn); proud grandmother of Hayden, Hazel and Gracie; caring sister of Sharon (late Homme), late Bobby (late Brenda), David (late Mary), Paul, Debra (late Serge) and Johnny: and cherished daughter of the late Francis & late Ruth Ellig.

Denise worked for 20+ years as a cook at LaPointe-Fisher Nursing Home until her health urged her to retire. She spent her life between her life-long home in Guelph and happy summers in Port Elgin. She loved her friends and her big family that were also her dear friends. All who knew her will remember her heart of gold and her giving spirit. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Denise’s Life will be held at Brombal Funeral Home, 1 Delhi Street, Guelph on Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 3:00 – 6:00p.m.
