
Obituary of Audrey Lillian Harris
HARRIS, Audrey Lillian (nee Williams) of Guelph was peacefully Promoted to Glory from her family residence on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the age of 85 years.
She was known for her kind and gentle manner, her deep love for her family—especially her grandchildren, her genuine interest in others, her quiet readiness to help behind the scenes, and her deep and abiding faith in her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Audrey is dearly missed by her beloved husband Bill, daughters Karen (Bruce Merritt) and Donna (Bruce Maynard), grandchildren Beatrice, Nathaniel, Allison, and Eleanor, brother Stan, sister Eva (Fred Carr), sister-in-law Carol, nieces and nephews Ted, Stan, Barbara, Cindy, Gail, Mike, Phil, Don, Beth, and Steve.
With her marriage to Bill, Audrey's family expanded to include brother-in-law Ken (Barbara) and sister-in-law Susan, nieces and nephews Stacey, Paul, Nigel, Maria, and Cody.
She is also remembered by many cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, and friends.
Audrey was predeceased by her parents Stan and Beatrice (nee Huffman) Williams, brothers Allan "Bub" and Gord, sister-in-laws Florence and Isobel, parents-in-law Bill and Florence (nee Mills) Harris, brother-in-law Doug Shaw, as well as aunts and uncles, several cousins, and many dear friends.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude, love and respect for the many care partners who have supported and cared for both Audrey and our family during this very challenging year, especially the incredibly dedicated and loving team of PSWs. Your love for Audrey impacted her life and ours in ways we will never forget. Thank you for walking with us.
Audrey's Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 30 at 2:00 PM at The Salvation Army Guelph Citadel, 1320 Gordon Street, with light refreshments to follow. The service will be preceded by a time of greeting and reflection starting from 1:00 PM. Please note that cremation will have taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army Guelph Citadel (kindly directed to the music sections or youth work), the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington, or the CNIB Foundation.
We are comforted by the promise that Audrey has been made whole, in mind, body, and spirit, and ushered into the presence of her Lord, whom she loved so dearly.
