Obituary of Fausto Brombal

BROMBAL, Fausto.

Passed away at the Guelph General Hospital on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of Valeria Brombal (nee Busato). Loving dad of Linda Artuso (George), Paola Callegari (Greg), Michael and Robert (Anna). Cherished Nonno of Evan ( Juliana ), Emma, Steven and Nicholas. Survived by his brother Sidonio (Geraldine) and sisters-in-law Anna Maria Brombal and Maria Brombal and by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Giovanni and Maria Brombal (nee Masaro), his brothers Alessandro and Gino and his sister Angela Zamprogna (the late Joe).

Fausto was born in Caselle di Altivole, Italy, where he spent his early years. He immigrated to Canada in 1957 along with his mother and siblings. Along with his partner Settimo Soligo, they established Star Mechanical, a well-respected Plumbing business that continues to operate today by his sons. Fausto enjoyed playing bocce and cards with his friends at the Italian Canadian Club. He was a friend to many and respected by all, his loss is profound to his family and community.

Resting at the Brombal Funeral Home, 1 Delhi Street, Guelph on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held from St. John's Parish, 45 Victoria Road North, Guelph on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.
