Obituary of Audrey Johnson

Passed away peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Guelph on Monday, October 13, 2025, in her 98^th year. 

Audrey was born on February 12, 1928, in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.  She grew up around Carlisle, Ontario with her 9 siblings.

She lived a vibrant life filled with adventure and creativity.  Competing in many wood carving shows and winning awards. Audrey was a deeply artistic soul expressing her passion through painting on canvas and ceramics. She loved to knit and crochet for her grandsons and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed cruising the world and exploring Georgian Bay.

Audrey is survived by three of her four children, Wayne (Susanne) Johnson, Wendy Johnson and Shelley Johnson, grandsons Chris, Tom & Jeff and great grandchildren Evie, Theo, Ari, Toby, Ben & Gavin, Zoey, Gabby and Gracie. She was predeceased by her son Tim in 1981 and her husband Dan in 1993.

A heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre 2^nd Floor North for their compassionate palliative care. Another heartfelt thank you to Tess & Donna who helped with Audrey’s care at home and to all the Para Med nurses that visited her daily at home.

Audrey wished to be cremated and her ashes to be interred alongside the Johnson family at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Guelph.

The Johnson family will receive relatives and friends at the Brombal Funeral Home, 1 Delhi Street, Guelph on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel of the Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers to be given to St. Joseph’s Health Centre would be greatly appreciated.
